Brunch Bash

What's better than dinner you ask? Brunch, baby. Last summer we had an influx of the trending brunch themed weddings and let's just say we wholeheartedly approve. Mimosas, doughnuts and I do's all before 3:00pm? Count us in!

The first time we met Megan and Kyle was over coffee at our favorite local spot, Front Porch Cafe. We learned about their vision for their wedding day and what they were looking for in a planner, and after finding out Megan was a teacher, we knew she had all the wedding planning under control! We were then lucky enough to be hired as their day of coordinators so the couple could relax and enjoy every moment. Smart duo!

Megan and Kyle were married on a sunny July day on the beach on the North side of Jennette's Pier in Nags Head, NC. Staying true to tradition and the classic beach theme, the couple first saw each other at the altar. The aisle was lined with starfish, complimented by a bamboo arbor draped with turquoise blue and white fabric. Assortments of bright pink and coral hued florals flanked the couple on either side and shells hung from guests chairs. With a little over 40 guests in attendance, the setting was picturesque. Megan stunned in a white beaded gown with her sisters by her side in floor length turquoise dresses. The groom and groomsmen kept things beach casual with linen pants and vests and turquoise ties to match.

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed inside the pier house for a reception full of fun. Guests names and their seating assignments were placed on keepsake starfish, along with sunglasses to keep guests from being blinded by their love. Round dining tables were adorned with turquoise linens, tall ocean inspired centerpieces, and a touch of candlelight. Guests got to enjoy a mimosa bar, a brunch buffet, doughnuts, and a heartwarming slideshow. Not to mention all while enjoying the disc jockey and ocean views!

If we had to choose one word to describe Megan and Kyle and their wedding day it would be happiness. They were easy going, light, airy, and a double dose of delight. The smile on their faces in almost every single one of their wedding photos speaks for themselves. To the Goddard's, thank you for allowing us to help bring your cheerful love story to life and for keeping it just how we like it - beachy! Oh yeah, and GO DUKES!
