Park Party

Aw, September. One of the most beautiful times on the Outer Banks! And with milder days and cool nights comes the booking of perfect outdoor venues. What's one of our favorite outdoor venues you ask? Well, Roanoke Island Festival Park of course! Let's just say it's not your average park party, but instead sits sound front, boasting panoramic water views for your guests the entire evening while still offering the number one thing you need for a beach reception - cover!

Kelly and Zach were referred to us by good friends (thanks Lauren and Erik!), and after meeting for vino at another one of our favorites, Trio Beer, Wine & Cheese we made things official and took on the duty of being this sweet couple's day of wedding coordinators.

Their travels took them from Raleigh, NC to Manteo, NC where they were married. One of the best parts about the venue they chose is that everything is located right there. One stop shop baby! The couple chose to host their ceremony on the waterfront lawn, followed by a cocktail hour on the front lawn, with dinner and dancing on Festival Park's notable stage. Just a tip to all our lovers out there - this gives your guests the feeling of different locations, with the luxury of only a short walk instead of a drive! With a DIY vibe, we helped assemble centerpieces consisting of wood slabs, topped with different height hurricane vases filled with white sand and topped with pearls. Pink roses, eucalyptus, loose pearls and votives were then scattered around gold framed table numbers. The feel was like an old time romance. The men wore grey vests and suits and the girls stunned in mixes of blush and lavender floor length dresses, while the bride wore a beautiful lace gown with a sheer back with detailing to die for. Let's just say the attire did not disappoint!

Guests enjoyed the water views, sunshine, and an Outer Banks breeze all evening. To add to the flare, a full North Carolina bbq buffet was served along with cocktails and a side of dance moves from all! As always, congratulations Zach and Kelly - cheers to a couple who has already been faced with more challenges than a young married couple ever should. Your strength and perseverance is inspiring.
