Luna Love

You know when you've found the one? All the stars align, it's the right place at the right time and bam there they are. They might as well have a golden aura around them. You could be in a bar, at work, walking down main street...who knows. But, you just know when you've found them. Most of you reading this know this because hopefully you've already found the one and are planning the biggest party of your life. Well, we both already have our hubby's, so we're not talking about that one, we're talking about our ideal bridal babe!

Enter Kate. Smart (legit doctor), stylish, modern, total babe, nicer than a cool glass of lemonade on a summer day, knows what she wants, but is also completely open to our professional suggestions and ideas. Not to mention her family is just as lovely and her fiancé adores her. Let's stop right there though. We are so damn lucky to vibe with all of our clients. The reason we feel the need to give Kate a little extra love is because shortly after her wedding (clearly one of our faves!) we attended a workshop where we had to define our ideal client and we realized we saw a lot of what we're looking for in her. Plus, when we connect with our clients on all levels - it makes the process so much more fun for everyone!

Kate and Phil planned an October wedding during the harvest moon. They chose one of our favorite event homes in Corolla, called the Pine Island Lodge. Foregoing a beach ceremony, they decided to have their nuptials in the grassy nook (we call it "the secret garden") off of the driveway of the home. With a little over 150 guests in attendance, they chose white benches to seat everyone, with one of the most beautiful arbors we've ever seen as the focal point. Her bridesmaids wore mix matched white gowns with crystals in their hair, and Kate stunned in a must see for yourself gown and crown that complimented her girls (yes, a crown!) Post ceremony guests were welcomed to the roof top deck where they had cocktails and appetizers. After cocktail hour, guests were to take their seats. The reception rooms were split, with two different looks. Inside were long wooden tables and chairs, cheesecloth runners, full table settings, sprigs of greenery laid out and sprinkled stardust on top to keep with the theme. On the oceanfront deck, guests were seated at round tables with white linens, lush green runners and cafe lighting overhead. In the middle of the two rooms was the dance floor which had cafe lighting and florals and greens hanging from the ceiling. The room was finished off with a 'Til Death' neon sign that posed as a photo booth. Guests enjoyed a wonderful evening, including the best views the Outer Banks has to offer, both the sound, the ocean, and a Fall sunset, followed by the harvest moon.

Kate and Phil, thank you for being such a joy to work with. It was truly a pleasure to bring such a beautiful vision together and bring such thoughtful, intricate details to life. If we didn't already know that you two are the one's for each other, it was confirmed with Phil's reaction to seeing his beautiful bride come down the aisle. Check out some of their wedding photos below, as well as many more intimate moments from their day in our weddings page under 'Kate & Phil'.
